I-Create Club seeks Government Supports in developing Young Talents,    by Samuel Mbadugha

A leading creative club, I-Create has called on the Governments at all tiers to intervene in identifying young creators through support for talent competition to identify and encourage children with high creative potentials.

I-Create Club organises an annual competition for primary school pupils and college to task their creative minds. This year’s competition attracted 60 students from college and 1500 pupils from primary schools.

Addressing participants at this year’s competition in Lagos at the weekend, the founder, I-Create Club, Mrs Eniola Afolayan explained that the annual inter-Schools competition had become a major platform to identify creative talents among children. She noted that the Club had been supported by Vitafoam Nigeria PLC and other companies but appealed to government to support the initiative.

 Vitafoam has always supported this initiative. This year is unique as other brands, including Nasco, Sweet Sensation, Plascon Paints amongst others have  joined the league of our sponsors. We call on the government to support this laudable venture.”, said Afolayan.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Vitafoam’s Group Managing Director, Mr Taiwo Adeniyi said as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the education sector, it had consistently supported development creativity among children.

“The founder of I-create club Mrs Eniola Afolayan has done tremendously well and Vitafoam is proud to be partner in this worthy project. Our corporate goal is to ensure that the young ones have a bright future. This is the basic reason why we have always collaborated with I-create club. At Vitafoam, we have product for every age group.

             The Kernel of the Story

• Vitafoam shall continue as part of their corporate social responsibility to support initiatives like this, and they will support the children to see them grow to individual that would influence the society and the environment they find themselves.

• Vitafoam awarded the pupils who emerged first, second and third winners of the Business plan, Jingle and pillow art challenge with gifts and cash prizes.

• Vitafoam produce and market to Nigerians products which includes; bed frame, mattress, duvet, bed sheets, pillows amongst others.

• Vitafoam shall constantly engage Nigerian youths with various initiatives that will help them to be more productive, maintain good mental health, champion quality sleep and healthy living.
