The Chairman, Geo-Fluids PLC, Jacob Esan, has been inducted as an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) in a colourful ceremony in Lagos.

– The 13th President and Chairman of Council of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), Oluropo Dada, decorated Esan as an Associate Member of the Institute.

– He lauded Esan’s commitment towards passing the Institute’s Professional Examination.

– Dada urged him to abide by the Institute’s Codes of Conduct.

– Esan appreciated his induction and pledged to contribute to the growth and development of the Institute and the market .

What Dada says

” I hereby confirm that our inductee today, has gone through the rigours of sitting for, and passing the Professional Examinations of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. That exam is widely regarded as one of the toughest in the world. Not only that, he has gone through intense practical internship under highly respected senior colleagues, during which he demonstrated a high degree of competence as an investment analyst, with a trustworthy character that makes him stand out as an ethical professional thatcan be trusted by investors in Nigeria and abroad.

“In the stockbroking profession, the first rule is integrity and our tenet is : My word is my bond . We know you are already familiar with this principle, having had an illustrious banking career. but it is my duty as the President of the institute, to remind you that there is no place for rascality in the stockbroking profession.”

Esan’s Response

He described his induction as a fulfillment of his life ambition to strengthen his skills and competencies in the financial market. He expressed appreciation to the Institute and promised to abide with the ethics of the profession and always ready to contribute his quota to the development of stockbroking profession and the market in general.

Who’s Jacob Esan ?

An investment banker with robust experience across a broad range of sectors, Esan has been involved in transactions within Nigeria’s Securities, Capital and Investment Markets. He serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Geo- Fluids Plc., a publicly listed oil and gas company quoted on the NASD.

He is also the Chairman and Managing Director of Transformation Housing Development Company Limited, a real estate company, focusing on delivering low-cost housing. He serves on the board of several companies, including Liberitas Plc. and Rynesis Group amongst others.
