Vitapur Acquires New Equipment, Set to Commission Fabricated Buildings

A frontline manufacturer of rigid polyurethane products, Vitapur Nigeria Limited has acquired a world class new sandwich panel even as it has concluded arrangements to commission two fabricated buildings at Ibadan, Oyo State on Friday, October 23, 2015.

The newly acquired multi-million Naira equipment, the first of its kind in West Africa is expected to increase the company’s production capacity, enhance product quality, open a new vista of an array of innovative products in line with the global best practices and boost its profitability.

Speaking at the colorful ceremony for commissioning of the new sandwich panel in Lagos yesterday, the Supervising Director Vitapur Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Abbagana Abatcha described the equipment as one of the best things that happened to Vitapur Nigeria Limited in recent time. Abatcha explained that the company operates with a network of professionals who consistently put quality products and competitive prices on the priority list.

According to him, the new European manufactured panel could be used for prefabricated structure such as cold room, equipment shelter, wall cladding, quick shelter deployment, office partitioning, shopping malls, drop temp ceiling etc. He noted that in line with its customer-focused approach, the company offers free professional advice to its clients.

The new sandwich polyurethane panel has capacity to produce a length of 14 .7 millimeter with varying thickness of 40 to 150 millimeter. Besides, the panel can produce width in the range of 100 to 1200 millimeter. Its installed capacity is 1350 square meter in addition to the initial production capacity of 300 square meters, thus bringing the total capacity to 1650 square meter.

The former commissioning of the sandwich panel was done by Vitafoam Nigeria Plc’s Former Chairman, Chief Samuel Bolarinde. Chief Bolarinde commended the board, management and staffs of Vitapur Nigeria Limited on the acquisition of this new equipment.

Vitapur’s Head, Sales and Marketing,  Mr Yemi Mofikoya explained that the new equipment is being used to produce sandwich polyurethane panels for walls, ceilings, roofs and floors application with an additional offering of a fire-rated product. The same production line can be used as insulation board (ISOboard) production.  Mofikoya also stated that fabricated building is fire-rated as the building can be secured for ninety-minutes before it gets burnt in the event of fire disaster. According to him, the panels produced by Vitapur has acoustic sound and it’s insulation reduces cost of logging among others.
Vitafoam Nigeria Plc’s Chairman, Dr. Dele Makanjuola expressed optimism that the new equipment will take Vitapur to the Global Market. Makanjuola commended the staffs for being innovative and stressed the importance of communication in every organization.

Vitapur’s sandwich polyurethane panels come as plain or ribbed while customized length and width can be produced according to client’s specification. This stems from the panel’s versatility. Also, the company can produce swing and sliding doors. By this attributes, Vitapur stands out as one-stop-shop.that provide necessary accessories such as stripe curtain,, U-channels and relevant installation accessories.

Among the dignitaries that witnessed the ceremony were the President Institutes of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Chief Femi Deru and some Directors and Management staffs of Vitafoam and Vitapur Limited.

Meanwhile, arrangement has been made to commission two new fabricated buildings erected by Vitapur at Government College, Ibadan. The ceremony is expected to attract top government functionaries, public servants and some members of the Organised private sector.Vitapur is a subsidiary of Vitafoam Nigeria Plc
